Programs start promptly at 9:30 AM unless otherwise specified. Doors open at 9 AM. Programs are open to the public unless otherwise stated; guest fees $5; the guest fee will be credited toward membership if you join that day.

All Field Trips are free for members. There is a $5.00 fee for non-members, payable at time of the field trip. Wear closed-toe shoes and bring water, sunscreen, bug spray, binoculars (optional). Updates regarding weather impact and/or cancellations will be sent by email to members
Friday mornings 9 AM – Come and get your hands dirty! Our public garden, the “Catherine and Richard LaBrie Butterfly Garden” at the Sarasota Garden Club, needs your help – whatever you can do is appreciated.

- October 14, 2023, Saturday, 9:30-12, Program Meeting: Monarchs with Dr. Orley “Chip” Taylor, founder and director of Monarch Watch, Emeritus Professor Ecology and Evolutionary Biology University of Kansas
- November 16, 2023, Thursday, 9:30-12, Program Meeting: “Sex in the Garden” by Pat Porchey
- January 20, 2024, Saturday, 11 am – 4 pm : First Meeting 2024, potluck and Super Raffle. Open to SCBC members and their invited guests.
- February 29, 2024, 9:30-12, Program Meeting: “Resiliency of Butterflies in a Post-hurricane Habitat” presented by Scott Anderson
- March 28, 2024, 9:30-12, Program Meeting: “How to Raise Healthy Butterflies” presented by Susan Morris, and Spring Plant Swap—bring a plant, get a plant.
- April 27, 2024, time/locations tba: Members Annual Home Garden Tour. Open to SCBC members and their invited guests.
- May 30, 2024, 9:30-12: Annual Members Meeting. Open to SCBC members and their invited guests.
- June 24-30, 2024, date/time/location tba: Pollinator Week Presentation. Live exhibits and discussions in the butterfly garden about butterflies, their life cycles and butterfly garden plants.
